Why can't you just attack someone at 40 ft without disadvantage, like what's the reasoning on the minimum range cap.The light crossbow has a range of 80/320.Īs far as I understand, that means you have disadvantage on the attack roll if your target is closer to you than 80 feet or further than 320.
